with Aniesa Blore

On today’s show, “Episode 106: CORONAVIRUS SERIES: Special Needs Thriving Formula” Aniesa Blore, an occupational therapist that specializes in special needs, joins us to how to understand if your child may be special needs, and how to deal with that. We also discuss how to thrive yourself, as well as help your child thrive, during this time and beyond.

Show Notes:

“Kids need that alone time, and they need to learn to manage their own time without you. That’s an important skill you’re giving them.”

During this time, parents are spending time at home, working with their kids, and so I thought it might be a great time for this episode.

Aniesa shares how she works with special needs children as an occupational therapist.

We discuss what she calls, “grey children”, and how you can identify them, and get them the help they need to succeed.

We also discuss what the steps are when you think your child may be special needs, and what you can do to make sure your child is thriving, without struggling yourself.

We also discuss how important it is to take the space you need, be compassionate with yourself, as parenting isn’t always easy but you can do this.

If you’re a mum who’s child may be struggling, or you feel they aren’t exactly where they should be, then this will be a great episode for you! Enjoy!
