with Jen Lucas

On today’s show, “Episode 81: Beyond Insomnia & Sleep Deprivation” Jen Lucas, trainer & coach, joins us to share how she overcame her insomnia, improved her sleep and overall health without relying on medication, just by learning to understand how her thinking was impacting her sleep issues.

Show Notes:

When you hear something like, you don’t have to suffer. Please don’t see it as your personal job to stop your suffering. Life being easy or hard is something that’s constantly changing.

In this episode, Jen shares her insights from her teaching and to help people with their sleep issues such as insomnia.

For 14 years, Jen suffered with insomnia. She tried all of the different medicines, and practices, and nothing quite worked for her, until she realized that the insomnia was a creation of her mind, and of her own making.

We discuss how sleep actually comes naturally to us, but what gets in the way of us having a good night’s sleep comes from the overthinking we have about it or the anxieties surrounding our lives.

My biggest take away from this episode about how to get a good night’s sleep is that by seeing through the overthinking we have about sleep, insomnia and anxiety, we are able to change our sleeping patterns as a whole.

If you are struggling with insomnia or find it hard to fall asleep or you just want to understand your sleep better, then this will be a great episode for you! Enjoy!
