How often do you run around to get shit done? Before you even start your day you probably have already done your morning routine, got your kids out of bed, breakfasted and dressed, checked a few emails and run out of the door with toast in hand to take your kids to school and this is all before your working day has started! Not to mention having to pick up dirty clothes and possibly do some washing up?!

If this sounds familiar then welcome to working mum world! I am sure that you are used to it right? Rushing around making sure you can fit in what you need to fit in during the day before going to pick up your kids (if you have time) and rushing them here, there and everywhere before having dinner, checking a few emails and going to bed – knowing that you have to do all of this again the next day! (unless it’s a weekend of course)

Is there any wonder you are so tired! However has it ever occurred to you that it doesn’t need to be this way? That in actual fact you don’t need to rush everywhere??

If not, then this WOW MOMENT is going to be right up your alley! In today’s WOW MOMENT I am going to be sharing the 3 things you need to know about SLOWING DOWN before RUSHING around gets the better of you.

Having spend most of my time in a rush, I know how detrimental it can be to our health, decision making and effectiveness. So however counter-intuitive it may be I have found that slowing down is actually how you will avoid burn out, have more clarity and time – in short your quality of life will explode!

It will help you to avoid burn out. How? When we are pushing, rushing and overworking ourselves we are usually being sustained by adrenaline that plays a massive part in increasing the cortisol levels in our body. Too much of it can wear out the adrenals and when this happens you will find that your energy starts to diminish regardless of the amount of sleep that you have had. As you keep going and not listening to your body crashing and burning is more likely to happen.

However, if you give yourself the chance to slow down you will start to notice that you have a body and are more likely to listen to it. Slowing down is an opportunity to listen to what your body needs and wants so you are able to shift from treatment to maintenance.

It will help you to solve problems with more ease. Have you ever found that your best solutions, creative ideas come when you are relaxed? And so it is! These so called solutions to the challenges that you face are more likely to emerge when you are not rushing around.

Let me give you an example. For quite some time now I had been dealing with a challenge in my online application business that I have and didn’t know how quite to deal with it. However as I was driving back from my massage one day, the answer came to me in a flash! This one answer has saved me time and money. So in effect slowing down can have a real impact on your bottom line!

It will help you to create more time in the day. As the saying goes “haste makes waste.” Hurrying is more likely to cause mistakes and when mistakes happen you have to do the job all over again!

How often have you mis-read an email at work or deleted something by mistake and not saved it because you were in a rush and then had to do the work all over again? Not only will this waste your time but it could be wasting other people’s time, as well as money.

There is no prize for rushing all over the place and in fact even though it may seem that slowing down will actually rob you of time and money it will actually have the opposite effect. So if you want to save energy, time and money then SLOWING DOWN is the answer!

Take the time to take 20 minutes out of your day to listen to this Insight Activator that I created for you here so that you can have a more energy and time to be more effective.
