Self-Healing Astrology: The Power of Chiron in the 1st House

Self-Healing Astrology

It has been said that ¨healer, heal thyself.¨ So when I was pointed to exploring where my Chiron (the wounded healer) sat in my chart, I could not believe how my life and work had already been etched in the stars.

Understanding Your Astrology Chart: Insights from Chiron

Chiron in the 1st House shows that your unhealed wound is to your basic sense of self, identity, and self-worth. The wound may manifest in the physical body in the form of disability or disease, or through problems with self-image.

Other possibilities with Chiron in the 1st House include: Trouble initiating actions or projects, rushing into doing things, or hesitating due to doubt and insecurity. Chiron in the 1st House could also form aggression or suppressed rage in your childhood home life, pleasing others in order to survive, making yourself ill in order to avoid making decisions or taking action, feeling ugly or deformed, being ashamed or embarrassed by your body, and feeling awkward or uncoordinated. Indeed, the 1st House Chiron can make you feel extremely self-conscious and insecure.

Transforming Pain into Power: How Your Astrology Sign Influences Self-Healing

The way others perceive you might lead to feelings of being flawed or not good enough, which can greatly impact your self-esteem. Self-acceptance will be a major lifelong lesson for you.

It's very clear to me now, why I moved beyond the old iterations of myself to finally align myself to the work that I came here for. For many years I thought that there was something wrong with me. Physically, I never saw myself as beautiful or attractive—and sometimes still struggle with seeing my physical presence through the eyes of love. I know I certainly spent most of my life pleasing and suppressing all of the emotions that I was not supposed to express out there.

Overcoming Emotional and Physical Wounds with Astrology

I want my women to feel safe enough (inside of themselves) to express all of who they are as I know what it's like not to. As the article goes on to say:

With Chiron in the 1st House, your first impression on others might not always align with how you truly feel inside, adding to your wounds related to the “self”. Issues with self-value and self-expression may make you feel like you have sacrificed too much for others in relationships, or had early life limits that caused you to withdraw within yourself. In your journey, you might struggle to ask for what you want. You might be self-dependent, almost like a lion who’s afraid of mice. Though you might be extremely self-sufficient, you may find it hard to achieve what you want without finding the right balance.

And having been there and done that and got the T-shirt, I feel that I have the capacity to be very compassionate and empathetic with women going through the same struggles.

Embracing the principles of self-healing astrology not only provides a roadmap to understanding our deepest wounds but also empowers us to navigate our path towards wellness.

Moreover, astrology for self-healing isn't just about identifying areas of pain; it's about discovering the powerful tools within us for transformation and resilience.

Embracing Your True Identity with Astrological Guidance

And, of course, the whole premise of the wounded healer comes back to heal thyself, which, in essence, is what the last 18 years have been all about. It's taken time. And yet, in the last year, I have felt a real quickening in terms of my healing, where I have had to establish boundaries and have learned to separate others' emotions from my own.

Questions like "Were you shamed or made to feel 'less than' as a child?" and "Did you experience abuse, neglect, or great instability growing up?" have been enormously helpful in getting into the root of my survival behaviors. Apparently, a huge part of my life's journey with Chiron in the 1st house is to learn to unconditionally love and accept myself and release the negative self-talk and belief that I am somehow defective. And of course, to do that I have had to move beyond my fear of rejection and criticism, which has involved embracing my power and Truth regardless of others' opinions.

And of course, this is what I support my beautiful creative old souls to do too.
